Hermann Becker
Hermann Becker was born on August 4th, 1897. In 1921, he founded his own company, Hermann Becker GmbH, which specialized in producing watch cases, dials, and components for mechanical movements (ébauches).
After Becker’s death in a car accident in 1951, his widow took over the company’s management. In 1958, the first in-house manufacture movement was introduced.
Over the years, the factory went on to produce several calibers, including:
- Caliber 312 and 313
- Caliber 80
- Caliber 106
- Caliber 115
- Calibers 110, 111, and 114 (calendar models)
Many components of Eza watches - particularly the mechanical movements - were produced in Becker’s factory. Unfortunately, in 1979, the company ceased operations. At that time, 48 people were employed there.
